Grounding You
This space brings together my work as an Indigenous researcher, educator, and community member.
It is shaped by story.
By responsibility.
By the understanding that knowledge is not something we take, but something we carry.
Across this site, you will find work that lives at the intersection of trauma, digital spaces, and Indigenous ways of knowing.
But more than that, you will find the threads that connect it all.
Braiding the Fire
My work is grounded in the understanding that knowledge is not singular. It is braided. Each strand carries something different, but all are held together in relationship.
Lived experience, reflection, and the voices we carry
Academic work grounded in Indigenous methodologies and relational accountability
Designing technologies that support safety, care, and sovereignty
These are not separate paths. They are braided together.
Why this work
This work comes from lived experience. From navigating systems that were not built to hold Indigenous women with care. From moments of silence, confusion, and unanswered questions. From the realization that even the tools we turn to for help are not always designed to understand us.
This space was created to do something different. To hold story without forcing it. To create room for reflection before action. To build in a way that is accountable to the people it is meant to serve.
Grandmother Moon
In Haudenosaunee teachings, Grandmother Moon reminds us that life moves in cycles. She teaches us to slow down. To reflect. To return to things when we are ready. This work follows those teachings. Nothing here is meant to rush you.
